Dwayne Miller

Mr. Dwayne Miller received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Military Institute. Following graduation from Virginia Military Institute, Mr. Miller served in the U.S. Air Force as an Engineering Officer for a worldwide mobile design/build squadron. After completing his tour of duty, Mr. Miller spent a year with JBA and then pursued his engineering career further in Colorado as a Principal Engineer of a consulting firm. In 1997, Mr. Miller returned to Las Vegas as a Principal Electrical Engineer and later became President of the firm.

As President, Mr. Miller is responsible for the strategic development and growth of both the engineering areas of practice and business development for the firm. Mr. Miller leads the management staff, comprised of Directors for each area of practice and the regional offices in Denver, Southern California and Macau (China). In addition, Mr. Miller remains active in the electrical and telecommunications engineering disciplines, focusing primarily on the master plan development and schematic/design development phases of major projects.

Commitment to excellence, hard work and technical competence resulted in Mr. Miller being honored by Strathmore's "Who's Who" among American business leaders. In addition, due to his technical expertise he was requested to serve as a panel member and speaker for the "Consulting and Specifying Engineer" roundtable regarding power quality for the Hotel Casino Industry. He has also served as a guest speaker for IEEE regarding major system designs for parallel generation applications and medium voltage distribution for large scale casino resorts.

Development of electrical site distribution, site planning for redundancy and parallel generation systems for emergency and optional standby power applications are particular specialty areas for Mr. Miller. Recent technical achievements include the first project for the Macau (China) market to incorporate parallel generation with close transition interface with the utility. Mr. Miller's substantial experience in parallel generation and utility interface as well as his contribution during the commissioning phase was instrumental in facilitating the utility provider's acceptance of the close transition parallel approach.

With 18 years in the industry, Mr. Miller's electrical and telecommunications design experience is extensive and diverse including mega resort properties, high-rise condominium complexes, international airports, large scale central plants, hospitals and hospital campuses, Native American gaming and mission critical type facilities. Mr. Miller's passion for technical excellence results in a thorough knowledge in electrical distribution, parallel generation, emergency power systems, uninterruptible power supplies and distribution, variable frequency drive applications, life safety and fire alarm systems, security systems, telecommunication/data distribution infrastructure, grounding systems, electrical infrastructure master planning and power quality applications.

Mr. Miller is licensed in Nevada, California, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, Texas, and Washington. He is also a C-2 License Master Electrician in Nevada, a Certified Power Quality Professional (A.E.E.C.P.Q.) and a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (R.C.D.D.). Mr. Miller is an active member of Building Industry Consulting Services International (BICSI) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Building Services.
